Science Fiction & Fantasy Illustrator based out of Seattle, WA.

Charles believes in a future where somehow, against all odds, we all make it. Inspired by imagining rugged yet thriving futures, Charlie’s work focuses on small moments of connection, tension, and wonder.

Charlie has worked with a growing list of self-published authors across genres, game studios such as Coyote & Crow, and has had work accepted into art annuals such as several volumes of Infected By Art Volumes.

The process of creating an illustration begins with communication: excerpts from a chapter, a discussion of tone and mood or, if there is time, reading the whole book!

From there I work on a series of sketches, which we discuss before choosing one sketch and proceeding to the final. The final will undergo another round of edits until we are both excited with the result, at which point you’re off the races!
