Cecily Anderson – Designer

For 20 years I have been helping clients tell stories in compelling, beautiful ways through illustration and design. My digital work draws on an ongoing studio practice, inspired by the beautiful coast of Nova Scotia on my doorstep, as well as rich histories of illustration, pattern design, and traditional arts from around the world.

I start each project with a conversation to identify goals, understand audiences and context, and get familiar with client preferences and inspirations. With a transparent and time-tested workflow, I am comfortable upholding schedules, incorporating feedback, and producing high quality work that is truly unique and ready for publication.

The bulk of my work with nonprofit clients has been for posters, annual reports, strategic plans and advocacy materials. For social enterprises I have created logos, packaging, and digital and print brand collateral. I'm excited to extend my services into the publishing world. I have a special love of children's books and think my work is well suited to children's nonfiction.
