Overview
With a PhD in creative writing (fiction) and an MFA in poetry, I have dedicated most of my life to language. My two bucket list goals are simply (1) writing and (2) helping others write, which is why I've worked as a senior copywriter at several global healthcare ad agencies as well as a university writing instructor. Trained as an editor at The University of Chicago Press, I have also worked as an Associate Editor at the international literary magazine Denver Quarterly. Finally, I cofounded an independent press that is still going strong 14 years later!

Oversaw internationally recognized literary journal in cooperation with Editor Laird Hunt and graduate student staff. Developed content with authors, solicited potential contributors, and edited literary work including fiction, nonfiction, translations, reviews, interviews, and poetry.
National Stroke Association
Edited and proofread all external corporate communications. Managed content development and production for marketing materials, including social media, e-newsletters, web copy, brochures, direct mail, and internal communications. Maintained national brand integrity across multimedia platforms.
