Kirsten Birkett

Kirsten Birkett – Editor

I write and edit, and I live with cats. There are worse things.

Overview

I am an experienced editor, at all levels from children's, to adult popular and academic. I specialise in non-fiction (religion, philosophy, social issues) but have edited fiction as well. I worked in the publishing industry for ten years, then fourteen teaching at a tertiary level. I aim to give fast turnaround, and comments that help you see why I think anything should change, with suggestions about how it might become even better. I know that writing is hard and makes you emotionally vulnerable, so I want to help you through the process.
