Overview
To create gorgeous books, I’ve cultivated twin superpowers—one that’s cutting-edge tech and one as ancient as papyrus scrolls. I’ve turned myself into a Photoshop expert to make virtually anything look exactly the way it should. I’m recognized for my wizardry and I teach Photoshop in my spare time. I’m also expert in the centuries-old art of typography. I’ve made it my business to know type fonts backwards and forwards because great books demand that we combine distinctive type styling with readability.
I’ve been fortunate and delighted to work with a lot of talented authors, artists, musicians, publishers, record companies, and more. My clients include the famous and the previously unknown, huge firms to smallish individuals. I’ve created work for Farrar Strauss and Giroux, Penguin Putnam, Random House, Simon and Schuster, HarperCollins Publishers, Capitol Records, Sony, MCA, Pitbull, and many others. I like to think I can work with almost anyone.
My designs have won numerous honors, including Graphis, Print, the American Advertising Federation’s ADDY Awards, PDN’s photographic awards and, recently, “The Climbers,” the photobook I designed for Jim Herrington, won the Grand Prize for book design at the Banff Film & Book Festival.
Ping me. I’d love to chat about your project and help bring it to life.
