Overview
My editorial career has included full-time work for the independent book publisher Abbeville Press, as well as freelance work for Abbeville and other independent, arts-focused publishers. In these roles, I've provided a variety of services: mainly production editing, copy editing, and proofreading, but also occasional developmental editing and indexing.
I am most experienced as an editor of art, photography, history, education/reference, and children's nonfiction books. Much of my past work has involved polishing translations for an English-language audience, so I welcome projects of this kind. In general, I'm always happy to edit titles within the arts-literature-humanities spectrum, and I especially love books with a sharp prose style and great sense of design. (Sense of humor doesn't hurt, either.) I work from home, keep flexible hours, and turn projects around quickly and efficiently. I look forward to collaborating!
