Anne Hall – Editor

Working as a freelance writer and editor, principally on two specialist industry magazines, World Pumps and Filtration+Separation and their associated websites. I write, edit and upload news stories and features to a CMS and promote them on social media. I also choose the more interesting news stories and produce longer, more detailed articles for the print magazines. I have also written for other outlets and websites.

In this role, I was responsible for copy-editing and proofreading of print and digital English Language Teaching materials.

I was responsible for editing, proofreading and compiling material for inclusion in two industry print magazines and their associated websites. I also uploaded text and images to the CMS and used social media to drive traffic to site. I worked with the Editor and Business Editor to choose magazine content and compile the magazine flat plan.

During this period, I was involved in the editing and proofreading of academic work (dissertations, theses, research) by non-native speakers.
I also researched and wrote articles for an arts website and lifestyle articles and features for local magazines, Lincolnshire Life and The Journal.

I researched and wrote about the property market and investment climate in Brazil, Spain and Europe.
I liaised with other creative staff on presentation of copy and graphics material.

In this post, I interviewed contributors and wrote lifestyle features for a high-profile property and lifestyle magazine.
I also wrote all website material, including property profiles, area guides and living and working in Spain guides.

I researched and wrote the material for three published titles:
Making a Living in Spain, Buying a Property in Cyprus and Investing in Property Abroad.
