Overview
Hi, my name is Andrea, I grew up in Italy, in a city by the sea and currently live and work in Berlin. I am a freelance designer, a visual artist, and a book lover with more than 15 years of international experience (between Germany, Spain and Italy, with some projects in England and Denmark), mainly in the editorial and cultural field and I can work in English, Italian, German and Spanish.
I design and illustrate book series, fiction and non-fiction covers, children's books, catalogues and art books (these often in several languages and with very complex layouts), and have worked with Distanz, Hatje Cantz, manifestolibri, Lettre International, Bom dia Boa Tarde Boa Noite, among others. I have also been art director for some small cultural magazines in Italy, taking care of their graphics and layout. I have also often done the illustrations and sometimes the photographs for the covers of the books I have worked on.
For me, every book is a container of stories and knowledge that deserves the greatest care and attention in every detail (typography, layout grids, choice and production of images, materials), and I would be very happy to help you with your next project.
