Amy Sleper

Amy Sleper – Editor

Editor with 5+ years of professional experience. I enjoy novels, mysteries, fantasy, YA/kids lit, and Christian fiction.

Overview

I'm an editor with over five years of experience in both traditional publishing and self-publishing, including Mill City Press (Hillcrest Media Group), Xulon Press (Salem Media Group), Fortress Press (1517 Media), the University of Minnesota Press, and Milkweed Editions.

I’m happy to work on manuscript evaluations, developmental edits, line edits, basic edits, and proofreading projects. I particularly enjoy novels, mysteries, fantasy, YA and children's books, and Christian fiction/nonfiction. In addition to having extensive knowledge of the Chicago Manual of Style, I also have experience working with the Christian Writer’s Manual of Style.

If you’re looking for an editor who will be thorough and professional but also encouraging and flexible, we’ll make a good team. I respect authors of all skill levels, and I appreciate getting the chance to read and collaborate on your work.

Very pleased with my experience with Amy. Her edits were so helpful. She brought clarity and insight to the manuscript and it is a better product because of her thoroughness. I was also pleasantly surprised to see encouraging comments and compliments on different parts of the manuscript.
