Amanda R. Cestaro

Amanda R. Cestaro – Designer

Brazilian graphic designer based in Milan, Italy. Currently attending the master of Communication Design at Politecnico di Milano.

Overview

Born and raised in São Paulo, Brazil, I'm a book worm with almost 10 years of experience in the editorial market. I'm currently based in Milan, where I attend the MSc in Communication Design at Politecnico di Milano and work as a Freelancer Designer. But truth is I've been a little bit everywhere: I've studied at Parson's, in New York, and at the Beaux-Arts, in Paris. My heart is truly international, and even though my mother language is Portuguese, I can also communicate in English, French and Italian.

Passionated about literature and the cultural industry, I work with enthusiasm and curiosity in the search of different techniques and creative processes that may vary from collage, engraving, photography, drawing, painting, always adapting the visual language to different kinds of public and proposals. My work has already been defined as fun, bold, original and colorful. Communication with the client is key: a good aligned briefing, keeping in touch and following feedback with care is essential to reach a satisfactory solution for both the client and the designer.

My collaboration with Amanda, my cover designer, was excellent. She is quite tech savvy, took my feelings for what should be conveyed on the cover and produced a captivating and evocative cover that could not have encapsulated my protagonist more. Amanda was very responsive and was able to make minor changes that resulted in a very professional cover. I could not be more pleased with my collab...

There haven’t been enough positive words invented to describe how amazing an experience it was working with Amanda. She was incredible thorough, passionate, sweet, and attentive throughout the whole design process. She took collaborative and constructive feedback well and understood what I was saying before I even did myself. I could not be any happier.
