Alicia Clancy – Editor

I'm an Executive Editor at a Big Five publishing house, with over 14 years of publishing experience. My areas of expertise include book club fiction, women's fiction, historical fiction, romance (all genres including but not limited to rom-com, paranormal, western, regency, contemporary, romantasy), grounded speculative fiction / magical realism, mystery, suspense and thrillers. I have worked with New York Times, USA Today, Wall Street Journal, and Amazon Charts bestselling authors on their fiction.

As an editor, my focus is primarily on developmental edits (character development, plot, pacing, structure, etc), though I will happily fix typos as my bandwidth allows. I'm flexible in my collaboration style--I'm just as happy to offer proposed solutions as to simply point out areas that need fine-tuning and allow the author to create solutions independently, depending on preference.
