Overview
As a production editor for a publishing company, Arcadia Press, that specializes in highlighting the unique local history of the United States, I work with new and established authors every day to usher projects from delivery to print. The content of History Press imprints ranges from the spooky to the sumptuous, with Haunted America and American Palate being two of my favorite series. Not limited to any particular genre, I have personally edited over 200 projects; their subject matter ranges from horse racing to haunted hospitals.
Have 700 endnotes that need formatting in the Chicago style or can't wrangle with the indexing function in Word a moment more? That's where I come in. If you can follow your recipes but aren't sure they'll make sense to readers, allow me to take a look. Continuity and detail are my watchwords. I want to make the technical elements of your book accessible and useful to casual readers and researchers alike. Bringing little-known local history to life is my bread and butter, but I'm delighted to dive into content about anything and everything to help make readers—and writers—out of everyone.
