I'm a freelance writer and editor with 30 years of professional experience. I've edited and written numerous nonfiction and fiction books and articles on various subjects, ranging from science, medicine, history, and current events to memoirs, self-help/how-to, novels, and short stories. I also work as a writing coach for university students, helping them with class assignments and theses/dissertations. And I have worked with many ESL writers (from Asia, Africa, Europe) to prepare their texts for an English-speaking audience.
In my edits, I am very detail oriented. I will do much more than just correct for spelling and grammar. I also look for possible factual, content issues and things that seem confusing or contradictory, and I make changes or suggest changes to improve flow, logic, consistency, etc. I typically do all my changes in Word with the Track Changes feature, so you can see everything I did and accept them or reject them as you think best. And I add questions and comments for you regarding points that need clarification or other things I want to draw your attention to. I will work with you as an individual, respecting your unique voice while helping you make your ideas and text as clear and attractive as possible.
