Anna Scully – Designer

I’m a book designer and Senior Art Editor with over eight years’ experience working across major publishing houses, including DK Publishing and Oxford University Press. I’ve designed and art-directed both covers and interiors, taking projects from early ideas to print-ready files. I combine a strong eye for design with a solid understanding of publishing and production, so the end result doesn’t just look good, it works in the real world too.

When I work with authors, my goal is to make the design process feel collaborative, clear and (hopefully) enjoyable. I love getting under the skin of a book to understand its tone, audience and personality, then shaping a design that feels like a natural extension of the story. I’ll guide you through concepts, feedback and refinements without jargon or stress, keep things organised behind the scenes, and make sure you always know what’s coming next.
