Sarah Corcoran – Designer

I am a highly experienced designer and creative project manager - I am passionate and highly organised, with a creative flair and an eye for detail. With 15 years of design studio experience, most recently at DK (Penguin Random House) working on educational children's books.

I have worked in a variety of roles from project management, concept and character development, illustration, photography art direction, image retouching, to print preparation.

I am able to see your project through from conception and visual stages, to proofing then final files and liaising with the printer.

I work from a beautifully sunlight attic studio... (except in a heatwave... then the blinds are closed and it is dark here!)

My typical process would be to create 1 or 2 sample spreads, alongside a deck of any further design thoughts and reference following your initial brief. Then once we've discussed and confirmed the style, and cerated a page plan, roll out the book chapter by chapter!
