Overview
A nurse since 1987, I have worked in hospitals, hospices, nursing homes and the university setting up to director level. My clinical expertise is kidney disease, end of life care and elderly and frail care. I have a degree in Nursing and Master's Degrees in Healthcare Ethics and Medical Epidemiology as well as qualifications in management, teaching and renal nursing. My writing career has spanned over 30 years and includes textbooks, book chapters and approaching 300 journal papers. I am the consultant editor for the Journal of Kidney Care, as well as writing for the Nursing Times, Nursing Standard, British Journal of Nursing among others. I frequently preview and review for a variety of publishers including Sage, Mark Allen and Wiley.
