Major authors include Italian food expert and writer Anna Del Conte (endorsed by Nigella Lawson), and travel writer Alan Whelan.

Full-time (and later part-time) in-house project management of a portfolio of social science journal titles to schedule and budget, including new start-up titles. Providing editorial support to colleagues in the Journals Production Department. Attending journal editorial board meetings. Copy-editing, proofreading and proof collation.

Editorial and production management of a wide range of four-colour publications from manuscript to bound copies, marketing materials and general ad hoc publication projects for a magic circle international law firm.

Copy and on-screen editing, advertisement copywriting, writing internal house style and publications guidelines, editing and setting newsletters in Quark Xpress. Extensive internal client and external supplier liaison.

Supervision of a substantial team of freelance project managers working in-house and externally. Project assessment and allocation to editors. Recruitment and training of project managers; recruitment, testing and management of individual function freelancers. Project management of book, journal and looseleaf titles to schedule and budget.

Special project management: initiating and developing House Style between London and The Hague, and creating author guidelines.

Representing KLI at editorial board meetings.

Commissioning artwork from designers; producing typespecs for book designs; cover design. Production control including liaison with typesetters, repro and printers, backlist management and reprints.

Paste up of galleys to final pages from subs’ layouts, checking and passing for press to daily deadlines on Cambridge Evening News and sister paper Weekly News series.

Drawing layouts for advertising pages. Designing advertisements and other notices to CRC on Quark Xpress.

Editorial production control of profiles and entries in a variety of academic guides, educational/career yearbooks, trade yearbooks, directories and magazines. Advertising production control on France magazine (trade, shelf, still in publication).

Copy chasing, client liaison and advice; liaison with designers and advertising agencies; control of copy-editing, typesetting, proofing, corrections and passing to CRC and press.

Handling a wide variety of b/w and colour originals and artwork, commissioning photography, checking colour separations and proofs, passing to press. Liaison with repro houses, printers and mailing houses.
