Lisa Cordaro - Editor

Cambridge, UK

A seasoned non-fiction editor with 26 years' experience in the publishing industry, 11 of which in-house before going freelance.

Overview

I help people to achieve clear and engaging communication. Your writing is your legacy, and it matters.

I work with independent non-fiction authors and self-publishers, academics, publishers, businesses and organisations. Friendly, accurate and expert editing, proofreading and advice.

In addition to copy-editing and proofreading, I coach non-fiction writing, and offer manuscript critique, development and structural editing to authors planning to self-publish, or who are looking to submit to agents and/or publishers for a book deal.

My approach is supportive, sensitive and honest. At the start of a project I take time to talk it over with you to learn about your needs and outline the process. It's important that author and editor are compatible and comfortable with each other, and my aim every time is to make sure the creative mix is right.

Every project is bespoke, because every author is different and every manuscript has its own needs. I understand just how much work goes into your writing, because I write too.

My vocation is to help your project succeed.
