Len Gogou – Designer

Hey! I'm Len (they/them) and I'm a comic artist and illustrator, based in Athens, Greece.

My education background is a bit unusual. I have a degree in Mechanical Engineering and Aeronautics! I've never worked in the field, but during my studies I learned a lot about technical drawing, problem solving and many many other cool things that can come quite in handy in my work today.

I have worked with many publishers in Greece (Jemma Press, Polaris) and the US (DC, Vault Comics, Ahoy Comics, A Wave Blue World), and I have participated in numerous self-published comic books and anthologies.

I'm pretty versatile and I enjoy working in various genres. In my comics work I always look for ways to make the script into something fun and eye-catching. I like to utilise the layout of the page in visually interesting ways, and bring lots of motion to the visual narrative of the story.

Because of my comics experience, my illustration work is also very dynamic and full of movement. I love bright colours and the human form, and I like to use body language and facial expressions to create drama, or comedy, in my illustrations.

Working with my clients, my goal is to use the skills I've gathered over the years to not only illustrate their vision, but make it into something unique and fun. I love to hear their ideas and input, so that we can create something cool together!
