Collaborate with book publishers, editorial services, and national retailers to accommodate editorial needs. Tasks range from
developmental editing, copyediting, proofreading, freelancer coordination, and book production to printer file submission. Clients
include Cedar Lane Press, Chelsea Green Publishing, Elsevier, Quarto Group, and Woodcraft.

■Responsible for editorial work at all stages on all titles from manuscript creation through production; some acquisition.
■Collaborated with Popular Woodworking and Woodcraft Magazine staff to create books with their content.

■Provided support to the publisher and linguistic specialist throughout the editorial process via communication with authors and freelancers, manuscript organization and development, copy editing, and book production.
■Managed the production schedule; coordinated with printers.
■Responsible for tracking inventory and reprinting titles when necessary.
■Assisted with customer support via phone and email, as well as order fulfillment.

■Working under the editorial director, responsibilities spanned the editorial process, including corresponding with authors, developmental editing, copy editing, indexing, directing freelancers, crafting back cover copy, creating and maintaining the schedule, and coordinating with the layout design team.
■Honed remote working processes to optimize efficiency and teamwork.

■Conducted editing, proofreading, copy editing, and manuscript coding for written projects in various formats. Clients included: a medical textbook publisher; an online editing service used by students, ESL writers, and professionals; and a craft book publisher.

■Managed an editorial department with three full-time staff; set the book publication list; orchestrated the scheduling and editorial work at a rate of ninety books per year; discovered, acquired, and developed original book manuscripts for multiple subject areas; performed developmental edits on several titles each season.
■Edited original books at a pace of about one per month, for a total of more than thirty published titles, from 06/08 through 10/11; concurrently managed and coordinated out-of-house editing of more than fifteen published titles.
■Selected by manager to function as the lead developmental editor for original royalty books.
■Organized and directed photo shoots of both gallery and process photography; simultaneously drafted captions.
■Created and implemented procedures to organize and streamline processes between the editorial, marketing, and design departments and within the editorial department.
■Trained and managed the editorial department’s interns and freelancers.
