Kel Carter

Kel Carter – Designer

I’m an Illustrator and Concept Designer ready to collaborate, I've done work with comics and various freelance projects for roughly 5 years.

Overview

In past projects, I have worked with digital and print formats with book covers, comic illustrations, and commissioned portraits and illustrations. I have worked with programs like Adobe Photoshop, Illustrator, and InDesign for over 5 years. I mainly focus on illustrations with people and lifestyle, but am always open to fantasy, sci-fi, and young adult themes (There are tons of fun ideas to explore in these subjects).

Through my work, I have kept a fast pace and strong visual style. I love emphasizing color, textures, and composition. My usual workspace is my tablet, computer, and sketchbooks open around me with a terrible movie in the back to get a good quotable joke from a wonderfully bad Nic Cage movie. I love working in a collaborative space and hearing insight from my team. Throughout my experience keeping an open line of communication and honesty is key to a good project and what direction is needed for the illustration.
