Kara has been designing book covers for 9 years and is also currently the graphic designer at Deschutes Brewery. She grew up in Kansas City, Missouri where she completed her BA in Graphic Design, and moved to Bend, Oregon just after graduation to pursue her career in book cover design. Recently married, Kara and her husband Ryan both enjoy spending their free time performing in local community theatre productions, and taking their miniature goldendoodle puppy out on Central Oregon adventures.
