Almost 25 years ago when I started my career as a copyeditor I did not realize how much I would come to cherish reading, learning from, and editing manuscripts. Every manuscript is a fresh canvas--to be polished and perfected before it is presented to the world in its most perfect form possible. I went on to hone my skills at the Columbia Publishing Course in New York and in the years since I have worked on hundreds of manuscripts from business, economics, sociology, history to philosophy books, and hope to continue working on hundreds more--perhaps yours will be the next one! I am told I am like that person who must make sure the picture frame on the wall is perfectly straight--might be annoying in some scenarios, but when it comes to your manuscript, this attitude helps me make sure every "i" is dotted, every reference is correctly cited, every word fits where it should.
