Overview
Have you written a novel? Are you looking for constructive, encouraging feedback to make your story stronger?
Here's what you can expect from my editorial services:
You'll be working with someone who's been exactly where you are. As an author myself, I understand how it feels to be on the receiving end of edits, and what writers find helpful.
Your voice stays yours. I have a degree in languages and a diploma in translation from the Institute of Linguists. Translation teaches precision, but it also teaches you to put the author's voice first. I bring that same sensitivity to your manuscript.
You're getting a decade of hands-on experience. I've worked with authors for more than ten years and have edited hundreds of manuscripts. Besides formal training with the Chartered Institute of Editing and Proofreading and the Romantic Novelists' Association, I also continue to study a wide range of books on the craft of writing . Even after ten years, I'm still learning, and that means you benefit from someone who edits with a fresh and enthusiastic approach.
You're in good company. Authors I've worked with have gone on to be reviewed in national newspapers, approached about film options and offered launches by local government.
Committing your manuscript to someone new is a big step, so new clients are welcome to start with a sample edit. A sample edit means you will see exactly how I work and feel confident we're a good fit before you commit to anything further.
If this sounds like the kind of editorial relationship you're after, I'd love to hear from you.
