Overview
My clients appreciate my ability to find the heart of their stories and refine the pulse behind their ideas. I’m known for my warm personality and ability to grasp, shape, and clearly express complex intellectual concepts.
Memoirs and big-idea nonfiction are my sweet spot, particularly projects that require strong developmental guidance and rigorous editorial attention.
My last book proposal garnered my author a quarter-million-dollar deal with Penguin.
The last book I worked on received a front-cover endorsement from Arnold Schwarzenegger.
My process is organized and personal, involving streamlined interviews, regular draft revisions, and open-ended communication by phone, Zoom, or email.
Authors I’ve worked with include TV celebrities, tech founders, educational leaders, restaurateurs, politicians, social impact experts, spiritual healers, professional athletes, and CEOs. I'm thrilled to work with anyone with a compelling story.
My Process
Since each client’s project is unique, I tailor my approach to suit your individual needs and goals.
My process begins with deep editorial discovery: understanding your target audience, your preferred narrative style, and researching the market for similar books to identify what sells and where a meaningful gap exists. We then collaborate on a detailed outline that forms the structural backbone of the manuscript.
Next, I conduct a series of 90-minute interviews, usually one per chapter. I submit drafts on a regular chapter-by-chapter basis and revise them according to your feedback. In most cases, two rounds of intensive developmental and line editing are sufficient before my line-editing and proofreading team takes a final pass.
