Overview

I am a publishing professional with over fourteen years of experience in the US, specializing in the trade nonfiction, gift, and outdoor markets. I have worked with a vast network of industry professionals and published hundreds of titles, ranging from recent celebrated nonfiction like Fast Funny Women, a hilarious collection of nonfiction essays edited by Gina Barreca with notable contributors like “Judge Judy” Sheindlin, Susan Shapiro, and Fay Weldon, to award-winning fiction like The Astronaut’s Son, Foreword Indie Award winner and CT Book Prize finalist by Tom Seigel.

I offer editorial services.

Testimonials:

"David was an exceptional person to work with when his press picked up my novel last year for publication. I admit that I'm not the easiest person to deal with, and was probably a bit high maintenance. David was always professional, focused, and kind no matter what the situation. His edits to my manuscript were invaluable and he walked me through the publishing process every step of the way. I would highly recommend Woodhall Press, and specifically David as he is highly skilled in both editing and publishing."

—Beth Marie Read, author of Pulling at the Stars

"David has his finger on the pulse of the outdoor travel world. Back in 2015, he noticed the glamping trend on fire and that there hadn't been a guide on the topic. He did his research to find the right authors for the project and we were honored to accept. He understood that a guide like this needs ample time for in-person research and he was very patient and supportive as we spent two years working with him on this book. He's open-minded and easygoing which makes an intense project so much more of a joy. We collaborated from concept to final edit and together we created Comfortably Wild, the first book on glamping in North America--and we could not be more proud!"

—Anne Collins Howard, author of Comfortably Wild

David and his team provided me with some valuable insight into how my book was perceived by others. I liked the fact that several of them worked as a team to review and provide feedback. David was honest but encouraging at the same time and left me with several things to consider in my work.
