Overview
First of all: congratulations on embarking on this publishing journey! Deciding to share your story with the world is the first courageous step toward success (however you define it).
I am Christine Dore, and I am here to help make that journey as smooth and fulfilling as possible. I am many things: an editor and writer, a DIY-er and crafter extraordinaire, a baker, an entrepreneur, a mentor, a student of the world; but ultimately, I am a creative—I live to find what makes the world shine, and help it shimmer a little brighter.
My services are diverse, with that one uniting thread: help the world—and all those in it—find their voice and let it shine. Anything that brings a little happiness, creativity, love, or beauty to those around me (physically or metaphorically) is my game.
Dedication to providing quality content in beautiful packaging is exactly why I love--and specialize in--nonfiction lifestyle books. I always have a book and my knitting with me, herbs perennially share a home on my kitchen windowsill, and I have more cookbooks and recipe boxes than I’d really like to admit to sustain my constant hunger for cooking and baking new recipes. I am passionate about my books because I am just as passionate about the topics they cover.
I have successfully brainstormed, researched, pitched, developed, and launched 25 titles that are high-performing in their sales market. My published books have sold more than 230,000 copies. Eight (and counting!) more are planned for the Spring and Fall 2016 seasons. I am thrilled to bring my skills and knowledge to your project after more than six years in lifestyle publishing.
Through my professional experience, I gained a mix bag of skills wonderfully suited to make your book a success; from content development to coaching authors on promotion to market research and beyond. I am tenacious, diplomatic, and engaging; I always strive to exceed expectations.
I genuinely love curating and developing content—whether it be finding the perfect writer for a book idea, developing relationships with authors and agents, exploring prevalent topics on my blog, guest blogging, or creating sales pitches and product catalog copy. I am passionate about compiling vigilant market research and trend tracking to connect readers with the content they desire.
I look forward to hearing from you, and discussing how we can make your dream a reality!
Live Creatively,
Christine
