Overview
Hello. I enjoy bringing words and content to life by way of illustration in a variety of styles from whimsical and colorful to technical and astute. My approach to any assignment is to understand the subject matter, who the audience will be, and how best to visualize it by first discussing, sketching and researching what will hopefully accentuate and illuminate the author’s words.
My passion for illustration and the printed page began early as a child when introduced to picture books by Richard Scarry and many others displaying and explaining the world around us. A long time graphic designer, I have gravitated toward working as an illustrator where more traditional media such as books still appreciate custom illustrations.
I hope we have the chance to talk and possibly collaborate. You might catch me working away in my home studio in Berkeley, California with a view of the Golden Gate Bridge.
