Barbie Heit – Editor

I spent the early days of my publishing career at Macmillan Publishing in New York City where I was the editor for the Crestwood House imprint. Later, I moved to Soundprints, a book, toy, and audio publisher in Connecticut, where I rose to the level of Associate Publisher. At Soundprints, I wrote several award-winning books, including the Alphabet of Insects which won the National Teacher's Choice Award for excellence in publishing. Finally, I landed at Benchmark Education where I was Senior Content Creator and Audio Director. At Benchmark, I wrote educational books for children in preschool through grade 6.I specialize in creating engaging, entertaining, and educational content for children. I love to tie humor into my work whenever possible. I can help with any type of writing, although children's content is where I shine the brightest!
