Angie Masters

Angie Masters – Editor

I am a children's book publisher and editor with experience in picture books, readers, chapter books, non-fiction, fiction and YA.

Overview

I have published and edited children's books for over a decade. I worked as Publisher at Scholastic Australia and managed a large list of publications for children from ages 0 to 14. I am experienced in all types of children's books and enjoy assessing manuscripts for publication, structural editing, copy editing and proofreading. I am very enthusiastic and approach my work with a good sense of humour. I really enjoying ironing out the plot of an action adventure, fantasy or science fiction novel. I love helping picture book and chapter book stories grow. I have worked on top series such as Gabrielle Lord's 'Conspiracy 365', James Phelan's 'The Last Thirteen', Jack Heath's '300 Minutes of Danger' and more. I helped create the Yvette Poshoglian/Danielle McDonald 'Ella and Olivia' series, and many of it's various offshoots. I worked closely with incredible authors and illustrators on beautiful and funny picture books, such as 'Whitney and Britney, Chicken Divas' by Lucinda Gifford.
