Andrea Vinley Converse

Andrea Vinley Converse – Editor

Collaborative and developmental nonfiction editor with an eye for the big picture, as well as the details, and 25 years in publishing.

Overview

Andrea works with high-profile authors/speakers, trade publishers, and first-time writers. She started her career in journalism, working a decade at a publishing group with multiple periodicals and nearly 2 million subscribers. When she shifted to nonfiction books in 2009, she found a real love for working closely with authors throughout the entire editorial process. She has worked with several best-selling authors, including Gabby Bernstein, Dr. Mark Hyman and Dr. Daniel Amen, and specializes in prescriptive nonfiction, specifically health, sports, self-improvement, memoir, and faith-based topics.

An expert at developing book proposals and manuscripts, Andrea creates the best structure, identifies the most compelling story and/or content, addresses audience and publisher needs, and guides authors to take their writing to the next level of excellence. She is a natural listener who connects easily with authors and experts from varied backgrounds to understand their message, goals, and values.

Andrea was easy to work with and earnest. She delved into the work with a gusto, and dug deep. She turned my manuscript into a clear, concise, and readable book. She was honest, to the point, and always available to answer questions. I would highly recommend her to any author.
