Overview
I am an experienced, qualified editor with a BA in English. Literature is my passion. I specialise in romance (and erotica) and women's fiction, but I proofread most genres. I work closely and collaboratively with authors to produce their best work. I am a professional member of the Chartered Institute of Editors and Proofreaders and EPANI.
I work in both US and UK English. I have experience working with publishers but exclusively work with indie authors now.
I trained as a therapeutic counsellor and worked in education in the past and find that this experience is really beneficial while working with authors, both when editing and coaching; it helps me to listen to my client's needs and be empathic when giving feedback. Working closely with clients is my favourite part of the job and my approach is very collaborative.
I provide developmental editing (a non-traditional approach), copy/line editing, proofreading, coaching and project management.
