I'm a writing coach, developmental editor and copyeditor from Ireland with eight years experience working with self-publishing romance authors. I exclusively work with indies now as I'm passionate about coaching and working collaboratively with authors to produce their best work. I absolutely love romance (of all subgenres and heat levels!).

My background in therapeutic counselling and education is really beneficial while working closely with authors; it helps me to listen to clients' needs and be empathic when giving feedback.

My developmental editing service is non-traditional, using coaching calls, book maps and markup of the MS rather than always relying on lengthy reports or critiques. Not everyone learns the same way and my tailored approach respects and embraces that.

My copy/line editing combination not only focuses on your grammar and spelling but also polishes your writing while retaining your voice. It includes a comprehensive, attractive style sheet and a call to discuss changes and next steps. I also provide an initial appraisal service to advise which level of editing is required if you aren't sure what your book needs – this has saved many authors a lot of money and stress!

"Aimee is a fantastic editor and I feel very lucky to be part of her flock of authors. I am confident entrusting my books to Aimee as I know she will read them with a sharp eye and offer insightful and constructive feedback on how to take my manuscript to the next level. Aimee is timely with deadlines and understands the pressures of being a self-published author. Apposite to this, I would highly recommend her mentoring service as she is passionate about offering a holistic and supportive approach to authors, whichever stage of their career they may be at. I can’t wait to see what the future working with Aimee will bring and will recommend her to others when and where I can." Amber Cooper (Scottish romance author)
