Overview

I am a PTC qualified editor with a BA in English. Literature is my passion. If I'm not editing, I am reading for pleasure and writing reviews. I especially love to work with women's fiction, romance (and erotica) and historical fiction but I proofread most genres. I work closely and collaboratively with authors to produce their best work. I also work as a librarian in a primary school so have lots of experience with children's books. I am a member of the Chartered Institute of Editors and Proofreaders and EPANI. I work in both US and UK English. I have experience working with publishers and indie authors.
I trained as a therapeutic counsellor in the past and find that this experience is really beneficial while working with authors, both when editing and coaching, it helps me to listen to my client's needs and be empathic when giving feedback. Working closely with clients is my favourite part of the job and my approach is very collaborative.
I provide developmental editing, manuscript assessments, copy editing, proofreading, beta reads and coaching.
