Sometimes saying 'yes' to others means saying 'no' to yourself. Helping out others, saying yes to everything, making others happy is a very kind gesture. Sometimes to please people we put them ahead of ourselves, whether it is taking other's responsibility at work when you are already packed with your own or going out with friends when your body craves rest. But at what cost? Continuously catering to others while allowing your needs and desires unaddressed left you unhappy, regrettable in the end. It's important to help ourselves first before catering to others. So, learn to say No with grace and make healthy boundaries for yourself.

Book Review Rediscovering the Wisdom of Human Nature: How Civilization Destroys Happiness by Chet Shupe Rediscovering the Wisdom of Human Nature: How Civilization Destroys Happiness by Chet Shupe is an intriguing book that highlights how we lost our connection to our human nature. The book has a thought-provoking message that only spiritual wealth can satisfy the hunger of our souls. Chet Shupe emerged from A D D (Attention Deficit Disorder) with a unique perspective on the human condition. Because of which his curiosity began to explore the existence of feelings, emotions, beliefs, and how it all relates to the happiness and wellbeing of humanity. In this book, the author explains how civilization has destroyed the basic thing which everyone craves- happiness. Chet Shupe has beautifully described that only by being true to our emotional nature we can be happy. This book is for everyone who is in search of happiness or who is suffering from emotional pain. This is not the kind of book to skim, you have to stop and think about the things which the author is trying to tell you. It has strong spiritual and philosophical essence. Do not expect any guide or worksheets to work for rediscovering your human nature. As the author says: A part of relearning is remembering that this intelligence was born into us so that we can take care of life—not control it! So by the end of the book, you will uncover and understand every aspect of the book which Chet is trying to say. Also, you will be able to figure out what is the reason for your suffering and how to go about it. We usually misinterpret overthinking with problem-solving. We even convince ourselves thinking about something for a long time gives the best solutions, but usually, that’s not the case. Overthinking dwells you into the problem while problem-solving looks for a solution. EG you have gone for an interview and waiting for your time to come. Over-thinker will think “I wish the interviewer is good. Am I good enough than other interviewees? I hope I get selected. What are all questions they are going to ask? What If it doesn’t go well? Where will I get a job or will I get paid less?   On the other hand, a problem-solver will think “It’s going to be competitive but I will give my best. I better focus on my skills and winning points. I should recheck my CV and other documents if they are arranged properly. I should sit calm, relaxed, and presentable. Let me practice till my number comes.  Using your analytical side is good until it is productive and helpful. So, next time notice yourself - are you fueling the uncomfortable emotions and worrisome thoughts or looking for productive actions. Till then Happy Reading 😀😀 Read More- https://www.justmorealive.com/blog-page/

Wisdom Munchies "The words we leave behind will be a lasting picture of who we are. I don't care to have a lot of material things to leave behind. I want to leave behind the relationships that I invested time to build and strengthen, and words. Words of encouragement. Words of praise. Words in prayers. Words in Thank You cards and Thinking of You cards, words in a text to someone, words of wisdom and counsel, and most of all, words of love.”   -An excerpt from How to be Successful by M. Despite the astonishing things that humans are capable of doing, we remain unsure of our goals and we seem to be as discontented as ever. We have advanced from canoes to galleys to steamships to space shuttles—but nobody knows where we’re going. We are more powerful than ever before but have very little idea what to do with all that power. Worse still, humans seem to be more irresponsible than ever. Self-made gods with only the laws of physics to keep us company, we are accountable to no one. We are consequently wreaking havoc on our fellow animals and on the surrounding ecosystem, seeking little more than our own comfort and amusement, yet never finding satisfaction. Is there anything more dangerous than dissatisfied and irresponsible gods who don’t know what they want? –The final words of the book, “Sapiens,” by Yuval Noah Harari Buy at https://amzn.to/3gRCzrR Check out more Wisdom Munchies here - https://www.justmorealive.com/wisdom-munchies/

Wisdom Munchies The Habit Loop Habits never really disappear. They’re encoded into the structures of our brain, which’s a huge advantage for us because it would be awful if we had to relearn how to drive after every vacation. The problem is that your brain can’t tell the difference between bad and good habits, and so if you have a bad one, it's always lurking there, waiting for the right cues and rewards. Wisdom Munchies How Much Do You Want What You Want? A young man asked Socrates how he could get wisdom. Socrates replied, ”Come with me.” He took the lad to a river, pushed the boy’s head under the water, held it there until the boy was gasping for air, then relaxed and released his head. When the boy regained his composure, he asked him, “ What did you desire most when you were under the water?” “I wanted air,” said the boy. Socrates said to him, ”When you want wisdom as much as you wanted air when you were immersed in the water, you will receive it.” Likewise, when you really have an intense desire to overcome any block in your life, and you come to a closer clear-cut decision that there is a way out, and that is the course you wish to follow, then victory and triumph are assured.
