I love good psychological thrillers, legal dramas, character-based women's fiction, literary fiction, and memoirs of ordinary people (especially well-written misery memoirs). I like stories that focus on social and family issues. I prefer to avoid explicit sex, swearing (though I can tolerate a little), and political or religious stories. I look for complex but credible characters and character-driven plots. No fantasy or Sci-fi thank you. And I prefer moderate-length novels - up to 100,000 words max.
