I tried very hard to write an engaging and fascinating story, while still being enlightening and educational, and I think I succeeded reasonably well at this goal. I was also hoping that this book might not only be interesting to young adults, but possibly also to their parents and teachers as a basis for discussions or lesson plans on the microscope, microbes, and the scientific method.

I taught science to elementary and middle school students for many years, and I am currently developing and marketing educational materials. My main focus right now is on astronomy, but I hope to eventually market complete science curricula.
