@unknown-user I think it’s early days yet, we are just finishing book two in a six book series that would be perfect for Netflix or something similar. But we are in Australia and the film industry is just building here. We were going to keep our finger on the pulse and keep on writing, wait for an opportunity; it is something we are definitely interested in pursuing, but feel we would stand a better chance when we have more than one season worth to offer. We did have a zoom meeting with Nat Mundel in LA but decided not to pursue that course further because the costs involved for us made it seem like a bit of a scam to be honest. We have recently been told to check out Taleflick and that’s something we will do shortly.

@unknown-userFirstly my son, but also a long time love of vampires, werewolves, witches, My favourite authors being Anne Rice, Deborah Harkness, Maggie Stevater, Stephanie Myers. I also loved the Vampire Diaries and The Originals. Adding an Immortal twist to it is just my own fascination with the idea of living forever. I’m also a foster carer and have dealt with many children who are not in touch with their feelings, hardened by events that eventually have no effect on them, ptsd plays a big part in closing off. But these kids can learn to feel and learn to love and grow in empathy with the right input. Lily as a child is modeled on that idea. There is also the chance that later in life these kids can be triggered back in to that state and it’s something touched upon in book two. I don’t enjoy non fiction and so creating fictional characters to convey some of life's toughest lessons appeals to me. Long post, sorry! 😊

Thank you Ioanna for the balanced and helpful review, as the first book in a debut series it is good to receive constructive criticism, which will be taken onboard when writing the rest of the series. Happy to hear you enjoyed most of the book, other than the lack of romance ... don't worry you'll get plenty of that in the second book - ImmortaLily Rage - which is almost finished 😊

From a fellow author and Londoner, actually hailing from Blackheath; Used to drink at the top of shooters hill in my youth, and party with Boy George who lived a few houses down from the pub. I'm about to read your first book - The Circle of the Moon. Love the cover and it sounds like something i'd love to read as I write urban fantasy myself - vampires, werewolves, & witches also. Then on to this one next.
