This novel has changed the way I view the world! It tackles issues that I see emerging all around us. Women are dominant yet they provide sexual satisfaction for the male population whenever and wherever called upon. This is because they have been convinced that sexuality is detached from love and feelings by their authoritarian leaders men are emasculated, they are persuaded they are ‘lucky’ to be able to engage in sexual activity with whomever they choose. Protagonist Gypsy, our teenage rebel, refuses to accept this regime. She fights. She represents the human spirit that has been lost and subjugated. The story’s end is shocking yet leaves us with hope. Must be read, it’s impact is powerful
