The Queen's Thief is a good series I especially liked the first book. The opening scene was beautifully written in my opinion.
I cannot say that I have one favorite book, but there are a few that I enjoyed and had that 'wow' moment in the end. One of these books is The Night Tiger by Yangsze Choo. I really liked this one because it included some Chinese myths and superstitions. I also enjoyed The White Tiger by Aravind Adiga. Ironically both books have the word Tiger in them though they don't really talk about any tigers except metaphorically hahaha.
