Just finished reading Bud Gorman’s book “The BrickBox” and found it to be a very enjoyable read. Had to admit that near the end of the book I had to stifle back a lump or two on the emotional side. Great job Bud.
The characters in the story are varied, and well depicted. Could really get a sense that even amongst those unfortunate to be in this type of situation, there were various circumstances for their being in such a state. From the good, to the nasty. But then again, isn’t all of society like this.
When reading the character “Aggie” I could not help but think of an old Phil Collins song “Another Day in Paradise” Line reads “Oh Think Twice, Its Just Another Day For You and Me In Paradise” How many times have we seem the homeless with their shopping carts, and passed it off for being an uncomfortable situation.
I highly recommend Bud Gorman’s book “The BrickBox” If it doesn’t touch you in some way, then maybe its to late for society.
