2 a.m. Book Reads

I truly love seeing debut authors' careers take off, and would love to read and review stories from new authors, regardless of whether you've gone the self-publishing or traditional publishing route. Are you already an established author? No problem, I'm happy to read your latest work as well!

Genres I prefer to review (with examples of some of my favorites in those categories):

Creator-owned non-superhero graphic novels (Saga, The Wicked + The Divine, Monstress)

Dystopian fiction (The Stand, The Hunger Games, The Handmaid's Tale)

Science fiction (Project Hail Mary, The Forever War)

Contemporary/pop fiction (Crazy Rich Asians, Me Before You, Little Fires Everywhere)

Genres I am less interested in reviewing:

World War I and II era stories

Straight-up romantic fiction (books WITH romance not specifically in the romance genre are fine) and erotica

Mysteries

If you upload your digital work as a PDF, I will convert it to a .mobi file to read on my e-reader, as I prefer reading e-books on an actual e-reader as opposed to a computer/tablet screen. However, I will never take off review stars or otherwise comment on formatting issues on any files I have converted myself, as conversions sometimes get a little wonky through no fault of the author.

All reviews submitted through Reedsy Discovery will be published on Reedsy Discovery, and nearly all of those will also be published within a couple of weeks on my personal blog, 2 a.m. Book Reads (link on bio page), depending on my weekly workload and your book's publication date. While I post reviews on Goodreads and Amazon less often, if you would like me to post a review on those or other sites, let me know and I'll be sure to do so! I always love getting the word out about stories I enjoyed!
