We’re interested in you being a guest on our Blog Talk Radio Show: The Writers Lounge- Showcasing New Authors after Tom Riddell, the host, reads and review’s your book.
A little more history about the show: In 2011 Tom started hosting a Blog Talk Radio Show called: The Writers Lounge. It is very successful. We broadcast the show every 2 weeks and interview 1 author per show for 45 minutes and also base the show on a review of the author’s book, which we post to the TWL Facebook site from a review which is also posted on Reedsy Discovery, Good Reads, Amazon and on Tom’s site. We currently have interviewed and reviewed over 120 authors and their books.
We’ve met so many great first-time authors and wonderful people and developed some very good friendships from hosting the show.
Our guidelines for reviewing a book: We don’t rate on grammatical errors, although it can be a disaster for an author if they don’t have a good editor. We rate on the interest of the subject matter, plot of the story, character development, descriptive ability and the all-important page turning addiction. We also review and interview authors of non-fiction books too.
We will only rate a book and publish a review if it meets at least a 3 Star standard. We don’t believe in embarrassing an author with a 1- or 2-star rating. If it’s a 1 or 2 star, we’ll simply pass on the review. In the over 100 books Tom has reviewed, he can only think of 2 that didn’t make the 3 star rule, so like we said, a lot of good writers out there.

Tom is also a self-published author of 4 books and working on a 5th.

about 1 year agoThe Other Murder is available now in hardcover only via local bookstores and via bookshop.org. The audiobook edition is also currently available via most major audiobook retailers including Audible, Libro.FM (which supports local bookstores), CHIRP, Google Play, Kobo/Wallmart, and Nook (B&N). The Kindle edition and paperback will be available from Amazon February 29, 2024.
The book is both an engaging mystery/thriller but also raises questions about the role of media and the way news reporting affects our perceptions of the facts. I'm excited about sharing impressions and insights from readers, so please feel free to post here or send me private messages with your thoughts.

over 5 years agoGlad you liked the book, Joanna. Writing the sequel to the first book in the series is tough -- how much information do you need to share about what happened in the first book, etc. Book #3 (now in production) should be easier. Look for it in late 2020!
