K.S. Michaels is hopelessly mired in childhood despite trying, and lives near Plainstown, Illinois. Tabitha and the Kingdom of Shadows was inspired by the appearance of his granddaughter. He enjoys retirement after a career in pest control, and now consults on cordless drill technology.
