@ayushnalavade I've written five books on rhetoric, the use of words to persuade and make common decisions--including one NYT bestseller. Prophecy is a particular kind of rhetoric, which has fascinated me for years. But really, the book started some 16 years ago, when I met my wife at the door with a cocktail and a silly little story about an eccentric person who lived in a place a lot like ours. Dorothy had returned to work for a paycheck after a 20-year childrearing hiatus, and she was a bit nervous about the whole thing. I was just kind of encouraging her—both as a husband and someone in need of more income. I kept making those cocktails and writing those stories. It became a ritual, and eventually it became a novel.  You might be interested in this author Q&A, which explains such indispensable facts as the meaning of the word "fantods": https://jayheinrichs.com/author-qa
