I am Irene, and I am glad to say that I earned an award from the Hobbs (New Mexico) Public Library way back in 1965. I grew up reading the likes of Ernest Hemingway and John Steinbeck. The Red Pony, by Mr. Steinbeck, was one of my favorites. I read philosophy, the Bible, and biographies.
