George J. Kuhrts, IV is a 5th generation descendent of "Uncle Jake" Kuhrts who arrived as an immigrant from northern Europe on the California coast in time for the Gold Rush. The Kuhrts family went on to become pioneers of early Los Angeles and helped managed the Los Angeles Electric Railway.
