Hi; I am back with an even later reply! I may attempt to gift you two of my stories, but you are under NO obligation to read them or leave a review on Amazon. No harm in sending you some of my writing your way and if you find extra time on your hands; well there they are for your enjoyment!

Hello Preye; I just saw your post. I also read your description that you are a beta reader. I write under the name of D.L. Yoder and I have been trying to promote my book Lilly Of The Mountains. If you can help me please let me know. Sorry I don’t have to many suggestions on finding book titles and authors on Reedsy Discovery. I will try it and then make a second reply if I find any helpful suggestions.

Amazon now enables authors to offer their stories in a hard bound edition. Because of price of printing, not sure if too many readers will opt for that choice. The kindle reader is hard to beat for both portable and price; but I thought I would try the new hard bound edition to see what it is like. Cover photo was not a perfect fit and the non-glossy variety does leave fingerprints. Other than that, quality is pretty good.

Only one-fourth of the way through this book, but really enjoying the work. Incredibly interesting science on how things work on our planet and in the universe. Those who believe in a Creator will find this a stunning compilation of scientific evidence pointing to intentional design and those who are unsure will find fascinating encouragement that all we see and all that we are is very unlikely to be a random accident. Will post more as I progress through the book. Loving it.

My book "Lilly of the Mountains will go on sale from December 6 through the 13th. If you are tired of sugar-cookie sweet Christmas stories, give Lilly a try. A little sadness swirled in with one woman's triumphant spirit will give you a good read in between all of the holiday festivities. Any review is appreciated!

Interesting characters set into an intriguing story line. This is the next, best step after reading Charles Dickins's "A Christmas Carol."

If you already saw the movie, why read the book? Because from the middle to the end the book is different than the movie script. Enjoyed it.

I enjoyed reading the reviews and comments by those who have read it. So far I have learned a few things: Donna Tartt is an exceptional writer. That makes me want to read it. I learned it is an exploration of moral decay or the downward spiral without a moral hero. That slows me down. Okay, I am a feel good simpleton who occasionally can digest tragedy with no winners. But how much of that do I want? The characters are very well described, but are dark, corrupted moving parts headed into a storm of evil of their own design. To look into the depths of evil that the human heart can aspire to is pretty sobering and maybe repulsive. I learned that people that loved the book, LOVED THE BOOK. So that says something. The comments and reviews to Donna Tartt's book has been an interesting read in itself. Maybe I will read the first page and see what happens . . .
