A Badge of Redemption (Redemption Bluff book 9) by Linda Cox A Badge of Redemption is the 9th book of the Redemption Bluff series, a masterful portrayal of the West and a page turner with many twists and turns keeping the readers interest to the very last page, reading late into the night. A story that is filled with lots of excitement, vulnerability, vengeance, callousness, maliciousness, and a touch of romance, some good vs evil, truths and lies, and the extremes to protect the ones that you love; a bit of something for every reader. The storyline flows effortlessly, contains previous characters, and includes enough pieces of previous books in this series, that A Badge for Redemption can be read as a stand-alone; but it would be much better reading the complete series.             The characters development is outstanding, with a depth that brings them to life in the readers imagination and a storyline that has been depicted with a cleverness, that can only come from a great writing talent. Ms. Linda does not disappoint her readers, weaves the mixture of each character well within the storyline; always has her readers turning pages looking forward to how the story ends.  I have read and enjoyed several of the books in this series by Lynda Cox and have skipped around throughout the series, which can often be overwhelming, but not with this author. In many cases readers will go back to read the complete series from the start. I was gifted this book by the author, during the 2021 Winter Games Reader challenge, without obligation to review. The opinions expressed are completely my own and are given freely. I recommend not only this book but, the entire series. Well done, Ms. Cox 5-stars!!

Spirit in Time (Spirited Quest Mysteries Book 3) by Julie Howard             Spirit in Time is the 3rd book of the Spirited Quest Mysteries series, a hypnotic paranormal mystery taking the readers on a dreamlike adventure where readers will experience the juxtaposed realities. The plot moves at the nice pace and is filled with a bit of everything: historical mystery, paranormal adventure, and time travel. With characters that are magnificently portrayed including their thoughts and emotions, pulling the readers into the storyline. The story will keep the readers captive, speeding through the pages of this sweet love story filled with plenty of twists and turns. Although, this is part of a series it can be read as a stand-alone; I would recommend reading the complete series for anyone who wants to follow the adventures from the beginning and those loving a great mystery series.   Author Ms. Julie Howard writing is moving; in a way that allows her readers to feel the emotions of her main character experienced, a job well done only adding to the story. Ms. Howard loves her main character, describing her qualities with such care. She has a way of writing the makes reading about history entertaining and not a chore; readers honestly do not want to leave the world she creates. I find it interesting how different authors, can create ways for their characters to travel into another time realms and take the things from different eras, making them such a critical part of the plot. Spirit in Time is a fun read, and readers will enjoy reading Ms. Julie Howard’s other work. I have read several of her other books thoroughly enjoying each of them. I highly recommend reading the Spirited Quest Mysteries series. This is a great way to get introduced to a new Author and a new genre. Both the book and the author are receiving a 4.5-star rating. Well Done!

It’s a Trust Thing (Dot Com Girls, book 2) by Peggy Jaeger             It’s a Trust Thing is fast pace, sweet story with several obstacles with some unexpected trials along the way. It is the second book of the series, (Dirty Damsels, the first book); a great book and series. The characters are real and extravagant, their motives clear and rational. A sassy heroine; big city wise, and business savvy, is focused on her business; but struggles with many personal issues. Our hero, Professor Hot body, is so hot (worthy of the reader becoming a bit warm); is just the guy she needs to help her start trusting again. The readers cannot help but to feel some of the steam between the characters. Ms. Peggy Jaeger’s writing talents; paints a picture in her storyline that makes it impossible for the reader to put down the book, until seeing the whole thing. Drawing the reader in from the start and keeps them on the edge of the seat through; the laughter and the tears. Ms. Peggy Jaeger is one of my new authors, and I like the depth of emotion she packs in her books; surpassing other authors, with the use of the first-person POV. Ms. Peggy Jaeger can quickly become, a must-read author for many readers of this genre; she does not disappoint. Not having read book one in the series, did not matter (I will be soon!), it was easy to pick up on the storyline. I really enjoyed the book with the ups and down, like most romance books; but this book has some dark family secrets. I could not put this book down, once I started reading; scrolling through the pages so fast. I recommend everyone to read, It’s a Trust Thing and readers set some uninterrupted reading time aside; readers will not be able to put this book down. I am looking forward to the next story from Ms. Jaeger. 5-stars, well done!

Dangerous Currents by Kathryn Knight             Dangerous Currents is set in a small town on Cape Cod, and is a good second chance romance, filled with resentment, insecurities, secrets, danger and mystery; a perfect for a cold, winter night. Attracting the read from the first chapter, with a story line that is quite unique and characters that are kindly damaged and well developed and the chemistry between her characters; the reader can connect to the character’s internal mayhem, as if they were real people. Author Kathryn Knight writes romantic suspense stories with dark twisty plots, fascinating the readers and keeping the readers turning the pages, until they have finished the whole book. Ms. Kathryn Knight has a wonderful writing talent; she writes the setting of the stories where it virtually becomes like another character. The reader feels as though they are there with the characters; walking along the sandy beach or the forest along the shoreline. And bringing in the danger in an imaginative way; so, the readers will not forget it is still a part of the storyline. Readers both exciting and satisfied; while on the edge of their seat all at the same time. I recommend Dangerous Currents, a summertime beach read, to any reader looking for a suspenseful read. Also, the reader should read some of Ms. Kathryn Knight's other books with titles like: Haunted Souls, Gull Harbor, Silver Lake and Divine Fall; the reader will not be disappointed with any of Ms. Kathryn Knight’s stories. Both books I have read (Divine Fall and Dangerous Currents) are 5-star reads! Thank you, Ms. Kathryn, for sharing your stories and your writing talents, I feel in love with the characters and the storyline; a book to re-read.

The List: Alyssa’s Revenge (Deep State Mysteries Book 2) by Casi McLean The List is the second in the Deep State Mystery series, with a flair of the supernatural mixed with a bit of suspense; will have the readers coming back for more. An engaging story with hard-hitting suspense and astonishing evens; grabs the readers from page one. The readers will be moved by the storyline; which is filled with political intrigue, crime, ghost, and romance; hits this one out of the park. Be prepared to go on an emotional ride, that totally sucks the reader in and has the pages turning in this amazing book where; intrigue and suspense, romance and strong friendships are pulled together in a well written story by an amazing author. Ms. Casi McLean has a great writing talent for spinning a tale and creating awesome characters with undeniable chemistry, that work well together. It is suggested to read Reign of Fire, book 1 of the Deep State Mysteries series, first; but it is not necessary.             I really loved and enjoyed this book; I was not able to put the book down all day, the best page-turner. I appreciate it, when the good guys cause chaos and misery for the bad guys! I cannot wait for the next one. I now have, another new author to be proud of reading. Thank you, Ms. McLean for sharing this excellent work with us; deserving of a 5-star rating. Well Done!!

Rescuing Reeve (Cassidy Kincaid Book 2) by Amy Waeschle             Rescuing Reeve is the second book of the Cassidy Kincaid series, a well written story of a horrible topic, which runs rapid in todays society. A captivating storyline with a plot that has many twists and turns, filled with action, drama, and suspense. Rescuing Reeve has explanatory writing which will draw the reader emotionally into each scene, and has a different end than anticipated, leading into the next book in the series. I am sure that many readers will love it, but it is not suitable for all age groups. Ms. Amy is a talented author, and this book shows that a great bit of research has been done before writing this story, (which I really enjoy reading about the locations), describing the world in her story perfectly. Her characters are exceptional and well developed, with believable characteristics and distinct personalities; readers will find the lead female character's emotional state is easily understood. Not an easy book to read but it is a great read, slow getting started; but I could not put it down. This was my first read of a book by Ms. Amy Waeschle and I cannot wait for the next book in this series. I am interested in other works by this author. Thank you, Ms. Amy, and to the free Savage Creek Press for sharing this series. These are my own thoughts and feeling about this book and the author, giving both a 5-star rating

Out of the Dark: An Orphan X Novel (Evan Smoak, Book 4) by Gregg Hurwitz             Out of the Dark is the forth book in An Orphan X series, a great addition to the series. A fast-paced thriller that gives readers the details that humanize the characters, characters that are elusive and deadly; each is very well-developed and working well with each other. With non-stop action and has an intensity that is continuously climbing; mixed with aspects of: hero, spies and a personal; keeping the readers on the edge of their seats from start to finish anticipating the next victories of the characters dilemmas. Mr. Gregg Hurwitz has a writing style, that reaches emotional chords for his readers, with his unique touch for combining realistic characters and non-stop, believable action. Mr. Hurwitz has written some terrific books in this series, with each of the novels in this series; the author leaves an open door for the future books. Hellbent: An Orphan X Novel (Evan Smoak, Book 3) by Gregg Hurwitz             Hellbent is the third book in An Orphan X series, an enthralling and exciting thriller, which leaves plenty of untied threads and emotional room to keep the readers interest and turning the pages and next book. The plot is writing so smooth; with attention to details, which enhance rather than mires the story and sub-plots, tying it together in a way that is satisfying without being artificial. It has brutality with some hardcore action scenes and unpleasant torture scenes, but there are also lighter moments and even some highly emotion moments; some will not be suited for all age groups. While each book can be read as a stand-alone; I suggest readers get started at the beginning and read then in order exploring the series and the important back story of Orphan X. Hellbent is a must read for fans of an Orphan X series. The Nowhere Man: An Orphan X Novel (Evan Smoak, Book 2) by Gregg Hurwitz             The Nowhere Man: An Orphan X Novel is book 2 in the Even Smoak Series; another suspense filled thriller where the action, twists, turns and mayhem never stops, and truly should not be missed. A page-turner filled with suspense that intensifies page by page, within the tight plot. Great descriptions of the characters that heightens the suspense by the continuing battle of wits between characters. While each book can be read as a standalone, they are much better read in order as a series, that creates an amazing read.             Read one of Mr. Hurwitz's books and you will want to read them all; I spent an entire Saturday devouring his newest release, Into the Fire. I was struck by the storyline, in the 5th book (which, I had read first); as I had received it as an ARC. Recognizing the authors name I realized I had the first 4 books of the series and was pleased to settle in for a long reading adventure filled with suspense, mystery, and lots of action. I could not put these books down, until I was finished (with what I have). I thoroughly enjoy all this series about Orphan X, a plot for the reader loving high action filled suspense. I am looking forward to any future books by Gregg Hurwitz and the follow-up installment/s in Gregg Hurwitz' Orphan X series. Giving both the author and this book 5-stars.

Orphan X: Evan Smoak (Book 1) By Gregg Hurwitz            Orphan X begins the series for readers in the mood for a good thriller with secrets, and mysteries in a fast-paced, action-packed storyline, Orphan X will deliver. The plot in this book has plenty of twists and turns, keeping the readers engrossed and turning the pages finding out what will be happen next. A book for non-stop reading, dill with so many surprises.            Well-developed characters are a deeply flawed, and emotional, which readers are about to relate with, as they deal with everyday things. Our hero appears as this knight in dark armor saving people, while battling good and evil. Our supporting characters are a bit more developed with some dimension, and character (macho, coward). Author Mr. Gregg Hurwitz has grabbed my attention with the freshness, vivid and polished brilliance for writing in this genre. Mr. Hurwitz has presented a well-written series of books for his readers to enjoy. I had not heard of the author before reading Into the Fire the 5th book in the Even Smoak Series; so, I was happy to find his first four books in my personal library and had to read them. Finding myself amazed with this genre, (not my normal reading materials). I am thrilled to discover an author, with this wonderful writing talent and see a dozen more titles stretching out. Gabriel is Cursed (Nymph’s Revenge series Book 2) by Julia Goldhirsh            Nymph’s revenge series brings readers a wonderful addition, Gabriel is Cursed. The second book of a series; a darker version of Rapunzel, retelling the fairytale in a rare and unique way; filled with angels and nymphs. A story like nothing readers have read before, in a world filled with both good and evil, curses, revenge, struggles, battles, redemption, fears, hope and action. Hold the raw and aching truths, where readers will get pulled into the storyline from the start to the finish.             Two very strong character main, that hold a love for one another and have a quirky and witty banter together, that readers cannot help but to fall in loving with the characters and feel the characters emotions. The cast of supporting characters help in building a believable storyline, and each works well within the story.              Ms. Julia is a very talented author, I have come to love, her writing capacities for showing the utter purity of her characters and emotional depth of her characters as if they are living individuals in our world. When an author takes a pre-existing story and tweaks it, changing it into their own different story; is truly an amazing and unique gift, worthy of being shared with the readers of the world. Although it can be read as a standalone, I recommend starting with book 1; Rose is Spellbound, then follow the storyline. This is a different type of reading experience from normal fairytales, as Gabriel is Cursed, stimulates raw emotions, and deals with a powerful topic. Gabriel is Cursed was an amazing story to read, I could not put the book down once I started reading until I completed the book. These are my thoughts and feelings about the book and author. I recommend reading this book and series, well done receiving 5-stars.

Beautiful Boy by Kathi Goldwyn             Beautiful Boy is a dark but beautiful love story and a touching journey of terrifying and heartbreaking events for two emotionally broken sisters with deep scars. A well-written storyline that pulls the readers in filled with everything from: heartbreak, sacrifice, compassion, courage, growth, mending, true love with many twists and turns along the way. The love is beautiful and suppresses the darkness in the story. Beautiful Boy also touches on the hard subject of PTSD. Many people who have lived with PTSD will relate to the story and understand the depth of the storyline; while for others this storyline can be dark, there are triggers throughout the story and it may not be suitable for all readers.             The characters are well developed and work well together, giving support and strength to each other. Readers must experience their story for themselves; crying for the characters stories, hate the villains, while laughing and cheering for the good guys. This story really packs a blow to the readers emotions, cutting right through. I love strength of the characters in this story, well done Ms. Kathi. Author Ms. Kathi Goldwyn is a phenomenal writer, she has done her research and shows her readers her knowledge of the subject matter in her story. I love this book and cannot wait to read the next edition of this series. A wonderful first appearance from Kathi Goldwyn and I look forward to reading more of her books. Hidden Redemption Redemption Bluff (Book 14) by Lynda Cox             Hidden Redemption is the 14th book in the wonderful Redemption Bluff series; a series that places the readers in the heart of the American West, with an old-fashioned western feel.  Filled with the struggles of the life, possibility of redemption and second chances, and a new life to come. Each of the books in this incredible series can be read as standalone. The characters are very well-written and descriptive; from the way they look, how they talk, the hardships they have endured and are easy to like. Readers will develop a love for the characters, will respect them and find encouragement. Ms. Lynda Cox has a way with words, as she writes, she gives her characters life. Her characters can teach us something; when it comes to strength, forgiveness and making changes in our lives. Thank you, Ms. Lynda Cox, normally I do not read westerns; but this book changed my mind, now I really do love a good western story and I am unquestionably going to be reading this whole series. Hidden Redemption is my third book to have read in this series (not in order), I have enjoyed each of them. I cannot wait to read the rest of this series!! Unholy Trinity Lena's Demons (Book 1) by Macy Butler Unholy Trinity is the first book of what looks to be a sensational trilogy; a super, steamy beginning of this series, so readers know what that means.... Yes, this book has a cliffhanger ending (sorry); but the is a second book is coming soon. Readers will find it hard to put the book down, and the envisioning what could be coming in the story for these three; is exciting! The characters are well-developed, with amazing chemistries developing into a strong and genuine relationship. The characters are supportive and protective of each other; while exploring everything: from the places they visit, their emotional and physical attraction to each other. Unholy Trinity is a fantastic and a super steamy MFF romance, which may NOT be suitable for all ages. Ms. Macy Butler has done it again by writing another vivid and beautiful story, that makes the readers; feel like they are in the book with the characters. I had never read a book from this author before this week, and I have read 2 of her books. And WOW; Macy Butler keeps getting better and better, with each book I read. I was beyond thrilled to be asked to read this book and share my thoughts and feelings about this book to other readers, everyone needs to read this book! Obsidian Hearts (Obsidian Legends Book 1) by Linnea Fletcher            Obsidian Hearts is the first book in a fascinating series, a story filled with; loyalty, magic, fear, intrigue, suspense, drama, a heartfelt romance, and plenty of action. A fascinating mix of magic, with the history of ancient times, the intrigue and greed. Readers will get caught up in the intensity of the history, the mix of magical and some hatred; between characters in this stories plot, that will keep the readers turning pages late into the night.   Ms. Fletcher has writing talent, a true art form in and of itself. Wonderful, well-developed characters, a time of legends reminding readers of: Lancelot to Arthur, Druids and Merlin, fill the pages. Creating a whimsical world from another realm, a plot so well developed, and it all works seamlessly, together in this storyline; bringing her readers to tears and makes readers mourn. A storyline made so intriguing that readers will feel they are right there experiencing it all with the characters. This was my first book of Ms. by Linnea Fletcher to have read, and I really enjoyed it! I became totally immersed in their beautifully crafted story; not what I was expecting but so much better! Flirting with Forever Graciella Book 3 by Sara Ohlin             Flirting with Forever is the third book in the Graciella series, a captivating and touching romance story that is different; beautiful, tender, sweet and sexy at the same time. A second chance at love story; a romance with an undercurrent of heat, burns through the page. Flirting with Forever can be read as a standalone, readers are not missing any vital information from previous titles; but it would be better reading them in order, giving the readers the history of the characters.            Characters are well-developed; understanding, and emotional, with a wonderful chemistry. Our hero is handsome, sexy, and built like a titan; is a genuine gentleman. A man that would move heaven and earth for the woman he loves, making her feel happy and loved, accepting her as she is, standing beside her in the worst of times, and promising her a forever that she deserves. Our heroin is a beautiful, intelligent widow. A broken woman: needing to recover and reconnecting with the passion she once had for life, find herself again. Her life will never be the same again and she is so exceptionally thankful. Together they find that love, and that HEA; threw their trials and hardships. Author Ms. Sara Ohlin is a true romantic; writing from the heart and it shows. Treating her characters with the greatest respect and dignity; making sure that the readers will love them and will understand them. Her writing is elegant with such grace and sensitivity, it is refreshing to find an author that writes this way. Creating a wonderful world for her characters in such great details, describing things with so much imagination; makes the readers think these characters are on their own world. I was delighted and mesmerized in reading this book that I intend to get my hands on the first two as soon as possible. After having finished reading this book, I cannot help but feel the author is writing more of their story, I will be in line to read the next book in Graciella series. This story was so, so well-done, I just LOVE finding and enjoying the work of new-to-me authors. This book deserves more than Five stars!
