Ben Crabtree is an anthropologist and professor at Rutgers RWJ Medical School. He volunteered twice with US Peace Corps: Ethiopia and Korea. His PhD was on birthing in Korea shortly after modern facilities became active. He and his wife Eiko travel widely in Japan and enjoy long walks and gardening.
