Dear Joanna It took a bit for me to respond because I was looking for the right words. Firstly, thank you so much for taking the time to read my book and to submit your opinions. When you read it, it was more or less a month before its release date and would have been great if you just advised that there were some mistakes. There would have been plenty of time to correct, as I have duly done with a professional revision. What you have read was still a beta version: does not Reedsy ask to submit a 'manuscript'? That's what I have done! However, there other points of view which I don't agree with. London is the hottest city in Europe, because it's the character's words and not the narrator's. Yes, UK detectives can carry a gun, because I have spoken to a few. The prom or leaves ball exists, my son attended his one last year. But this is just for the sake of being fussy, it's not important, all in all it's still a fictional book. Andrew Briggs is everything but an a***e. Poor Andrew, why these insults? Glad you have been irritated with his initial attitude, it means that I have reached my goal. He has to fight with his own demons, and he is not a hero (he didn't save the band) but he had his hero's journey completely. I didn't want to write about a real 'hero', and I am sorry you did not like this kind of innovative approach, maybe you like more Jack Reacher who is a superhero and overcomes everything with superpowers. Any character completes his journey. If you don't think so, you might have skipped some pages. Glad you liked Luke. He likes me too.  The timeline is hard at the beginning, but it's innovative too. 135 enthusiastic reviews on Amazon Italy should suggest you that was not a issue for many readers, or maybe you like more chronological events, day by day, in succession. Well, you can do the same with my book, Just separate the chapters about Andrew, Luke and the sect: you will be surprised to find all of them in rigorous, chronological order! You asked for more scenes about the musicians: this is the proof you did not understand the book at all. This is not a biography or a soap opera about Maiden, for this there are hundreds of books out there! Maiden are only a background, and I am sorry about that. Last but not least, it was also a bit tactless from you to publish the review even on Goodreads, other than doing so on the Italian edition page of my book, just to catch a few likes on about how honest are you. Was not part of the plan, to spread reviews in English on another platform a month before its issue date. I’m sorry to be so critical as I was after an opinion about a manuscript. Thanks again for your time, now all the errors in the book have been fixed and I will probably leave Reedsy soon.
