@unknown-user Dear Ayush, actually this book is made to be a TV series, the way I wrote it, was as if I was watching it. I do hope it gets picked up.

Must read 🏆 A breath of fresh air in the mythology genre. Absolutely breathtaking, mythology fans would love this new book. Most persons, upon hearing the term "mythology fiction," would immediately think of Greek and Roman mythology. Indeed, many of us are introduced to Greek mythology at a young age; hence it is no surprise that this is the first thing we think of when trying to pick our next mythology book.  The Gold Lotus is a novel that immediately caught my attention. The cover is beautiful; gold lettering against a blue background, complete with the image of a dragon. It is a simple cover but so gorgeous to look at. The Gold Lotus is a unique novel, even among the genre of mythology and fantasy. This book is inspired by Asian mythology and fantasy. Asian, did you say? Isn't that fascinating? How often do you come across a fantasy that is based on Asian mythology? Not that common, is it. Hence, I was absolutely thrilled to read this book. The heavenly kingdom is threatened by a terrible demon, Yaksha. Due to his intense penance, he has gained a boon that no celestial or godly being can defeat him. For the supreme being who can defeat him to come forth, a seven-day sacrifice must be made. In the meantime, the God of War must keep Yaksha and his armies at bay on the earthly realm. On earth, this means seven years. The successful completion of the sacrifice means the beginning of the end for Yaksha. Has the supreme being manifested already? Will he succeed? The ravaged heavenly realm is crying out for their true lord and savior. On earth, Kanu's journey has only just begun. Now time will tell if he has truly learnt all that he needs to in order to realize his destiny.  This novel is wonderfully written. It flows at a medium pace, just enough for the reader to remain interested. There are so many characters and regions that it may become a little difficult to remember all of them. But I think this is normal for a story like this. If you are not familiar with Asian mythology and languages it can become tedious and a bit boring. Hence, I would recommend this book for mythology and fantasy lovers, and persons who have an interest in Asian mythologies, fantasy, and religion. I am looking forward to reading more books like this one from this author. REVIEWED BY Kristin Baney

About me
I started my “out if this world” life journey during a long solo pilgrimage in India at the age of eighteen. For the past twenty-five years, I've immersed myself in ancient knowledge, fascinated by Buddhist, Vedic and Sanskrit literatures. Spends my free saving ancient seeds at my organic farms.
