over 3 years ago"The Secret History" is brilliant and rightfully established Donna Tart as an important author. Academia is the setting, but what the novel is really about are the relationships we establish and the secret feelings and gothic desires that happen under the surface that lead us to places we never imagined. Although her books after this are solid, nothing matches the sheer brilliance if "The Secret History."
